skunks - Pest Control In Holland, MI

Skunks are the easiest to identify because the predominant black and white striping and, of course, their odor. Skunks, or Mephitis mephitis which translated in Latin means, “bad odor” are phenomenal diggers. They prefer to burrow and make their den under areas like ground level decks, front porches, sheds, and thick bushes. Noticeable damage to lawns will be from “grubbing” and the obvious odor from close interaction with domestic animals when skunks feel threatened and spray. Grubbing is one of the ways skunks will find food. Digging sometimes hundreds of small holes roughly 2” down in lawns is a good sign that you have skunk in your area. Don’t let skunks leave a bad smell in your nose anymore! At Empire Pest and Wildlife Control, we take pride in our proven solutions to nuisance skunks.
