Are products safe for children and pets?

When treating a customers home or business, we take careful consideration when spraying our pesticides and rodent control products. The safety of your employees, family and pets are important to us. The products we use are designed to be applied in and around the home with children and pets in mind. If our treatment does require customer precaution, we will notify you before the treatment is performed.

Do you recommend a preventative maintenance plan?

Yes, certain situations do call for quarterly, monthly or seasonal treatments. However, we advise our customer on a case by case basis versus a one size fits all plan. Our recommendations are based on our customers individual wants and needs. We do offer free quotes as well to determine what plan is best for you.

What is the average treatment cost?

This tends to be a tricky question to answer because there are alot of factors that go into treating a home or business. Depending on the type of pest, severity of problem and size of home or business play a role in determining the procedure and price. We do have a baseline price for our services but due to many factors it is best to get a FREE quote to determine the best route of treatment for you.

What is included in my preventative maintenance plan?

Your plan is modeled to fit your needs. Typically though, plans are broken down in a few different categories:

Rodents
Crawling Insects
Flying/Stinging Insects

Does my treatment have a warranty?

Typically, most treatments come with some sort of re-treatment warrany. This warranty depends on the type of problem you have and products that are used to treat. If your treatment has a warranty and your pest comes back within your warranty period, we will return and retreat your problem at no additional cost.

How long will my treatment take?

Treatments for an average sized home are typically completed within 45 min to 1 hour. Initial treatments can take longer depending on the inspection time needed or Q&A time with the customer. It is important to us to make time to answer any questions or concerns our customers may have.

What if it is raining on the day of my treatment or after?

We typically stay on schedule and evaluate the weather on the day of treatment. Most treatment areas are of under eves and the base of the home where rain will not affect our treatment. Depending on the severity of the weather, we may choose to reschedule the exterior treatment of your home. We will reschedule the exterior portion of your treatment for the next available date we are in the area. You will not need to be home for the exterior treatment.

Our exterior treatments are a fine mist, it only takes approx. 20 minutes for the product to dry. Once the product is dry, it is set up and ready to withstand the normal weather for weeks & months to come.

Empire was just out and I am still seeing pests

General rule it will take up to 2-3 weeks after service to see complete results. Please note it may get worse before it gets better.

Just know the products are actively working to solve the problem.

If after 3 weeks you still have more than than the occasional pest, give us a call.

HELP! I have ants everywhere in my yard... what do I do?

When you find an influx of ants in the yard after heavy rains, please understand that they are trying to stay alive and not drown. Once the yard is dry they should return to their homes. When it comes to spraying grass for ants, we DO NOT treat yards. When treating a yard the sprinklers or rain will wash away the chemicals.

How do you treat honey bees?

We try our best to keep them alive as they are important part of the earth’s ecosystem. If you have them in your home, we typically refer you to a bee keeper who will attempt to extract them out if possible. Unfortunately that is not always an option and is a last resort to spray to remove them.

When spraying any chemical we do not spray near blooming foliage. Unless a customer requests to spray these areas, we try to avoid doing so because the chemical we use will kill a pollenating insect when they land on the bloom.

I have box elders, stink bugs, all over my home. What can you do?

Box Elder Bugs, Stink Bugs & Asian Lady Beetles are a fall invader. They typically come into your home during the cooler months seeking shelter to hibernate over the winter months. In the spring when you see them, most they are waking up due to the warmer climate and just looking for a way out of your home.

We recommend treating your home in early fall to keep them from entering. They is no treatment we can do in the spring for them, you just will need to be patient and wait for them to leave then cal Empire to set up a fall treatment!

What if I have a Bat, Squirrel, Raccoon, or Skunk Problem?

Give Josh a call and he will walk you through the treatment process. He has excellent turn around time and will remove your nuisance animal with no issues. Josh also offers services to fix damages caused by animals as well as exclusions to prevent future issues.
