How to identify bed bugs
About the size of an apple seed, bed bugs are oval-shaped and flat. Bed bugs prefer to feed on human blood, but they will feed on other warm blooded animals as well. If they have eaten recently, they can be elongated and reddish-brown, colored by the blood in their stomachs. If they have not eaten recently, they will be dark brown. Bed bug eggs are tiny, pearl-white eggs the size of a pinhead. It is less common to see adult bed bugs during the day, as they like to feed when a person sleeps at night.
